Change of Managing Director at Optelec Limited

Sarah Forde, Managing Director of Optelec, has announced that she will be leaving Optelec at the end of this year to pursue a new career in medical practice management.   Stephan Terwolbeck, currently Director of Business Development for the Optelec Group, will replace Sarah as the Managing Director of Optelec Limited.

To ensure a smooth transition, Stephan will assume his new post with immediate effect allowing Stephan and Sarah to work together for the next three months.

Sarah Forde states “After so many years in the assistive technology field, both in the commercial and third sector, it will not be easy to leave and I will miss working with my colleagues in Optelec, with our customers and with all the people who work tirelessly in the many organisations that support visually-impaired people.   However, I am looking  forward to the challenges of my new career and I am very grateful to Michiel van Schaik, CEO of the Optelec Group, for his assistance in allowing me to plan for this change.  I am delighted that Stephan will be taking over the management of Optelec Limited and I am sure that his considerable experience and enormous energy and enthusiasm will ensure that Optelec will continuously improve the service offered to visually-impaired people in the UK and Ireland.”
