In 1975, Mr. Tieman was an optician who, one day, had a customer with such poor vision that wearing glasses was no longer sufficient. In his spare time, Mr. Tieman started working on a Television magnifier, in order to find an appropriate solution for his customers. This resulted in the first ever CCTV. Today, Optelec cultivates its rich history of design innovation and is honored to provide life-changing assistive technology.
