At Optelec, we have a long-standing commitment to supporting the communities we serve. This support takes the form of cash contributions, community partnerships, products and scholarships. Our selected areas of focus are education, health and community development with low vision awareness playing a key role.
The Communities We Serve - Past, Present and Future
Optelec has joined forces with the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) to help raise awareness and fight for a cure. Our 2010 efforts will include launching a national awareness event in conjunction with the FFB Vision Walks. VisionZONE will take part in 18 of the 46 walks taking place all throughout the United States. At VisionZONE friends, family, care-takers, professionals and the visually impaired community will discover simple, healthy and enjoyable ways to read, write, travel, exercise, cook, shop, craft and more! We hope VisionZONE ignites the masses to join forces with FFB and Optelec to spread awareness for low vision.
