DOA-Warranty

A product is considered DOA (Defective On Arrival) if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure preventing basic operability, upon its first use out of the box. If you discover that your product may be DOA please call Optelec at 1-800-826-4200 (Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm ET) within thirty days of the invoice date. The Optelec Quality Control Department will determine if the product is DOA and will replace your product at no cost to you. The same product which was ordered will be shipped to you at Optelec's expense. A Customer Service Representative will contact you within 24 hours of your call with the replacement product delivery time and the process to return the DOA product.

Product Damaged During Shipment

If your product appears to be damaged from shipping, please contact Optelec Customer Service at 1-800-826-4200. Optelec's Quality Control Department will determine whether Optelec will repair or replace the damaged product.

Standard One-Year Warranty

This warranty is standard with all Optelec Compact+ units. This one-year Standard Warranty protects you from defects in materials and workmanship. The Optelec Quality Control Department will determine if the product needs repair and will replace your product at no cost to you. The same product which was ordered will be shipped to you at Optelec's expense. A Customer Service Representative will contact you with the replacement product delivery time and the process to return your product. If your product appears to be damaged or malfunctioning, please contact Optelec Customer Service at 1-800-826-4200.

Standard Two-Year Warranty

This warranty is standard with the Optelec ClearView+, ClearView+ PC, Traveller+ and ClearNote. This two-year Standard Warranty protects you from defects in materials and workmanship. The Optelec Quality Control Department will determine if the product needs repair and will replace your product at no cost to you. The same product which was ordered will be shipped to you at Optelec's expense. A Customer Service Representative will contact you with the replacement product delivery time and the process to return your product. Pre-Extended Warranty

The original warranty may be extended by one, two, or three years. Parts and labor are included. Maximum of seven years total for any product warranty.

Post-Extended Warranty

The post-extended warranty service extends your warranty by one, two, or three years. Parts and labor are included. This warranty is added after the expiration of the original warranty. You have one month after the expiration of your warranty to purchase a post-extended warranty. Maximum of seven years total for any product warranty.

Risk Free 30-Day In-Home Trial

We're so confident you'll love your new Optelec product, we'll let you test drive it for 30-days with no risk. If you decide you don't want it, we'll take it back. Here's how the test drive works:

  1. Purchase a new Optelec product over the phone or from an Optelec Certified Dealer. You can also get an Optelec product accessory, such as the ClearView+ Advanced Feature Pack.
  2. Set it up and start enjoying it.
  3. If you don't love it, call us within 30-days of your order and we'll arrange for you to return your system — including the Optelec accessories — for a full refund.
  4. We will arrange the return over the phone. All you have to do is pay for the shipping to return the product.

To get a full refund, you'll need to return everything, including the registration cards, all manuals and discs.
